Q1: Can this pair of goggles be used for strictly infrared purposes to pick up hot and cold spots in certain areas and how strong is the Infrared

A: Actually this is strictly a night vision unit. The infrared creates an ambient light similar to a flashlight that the goggle can pick up but is invisible to the naked eye. Thermal imaging is what would allow to pick up hot and cold.

Q2: The 1X20mm Goggle with Illuminator does not have any type of water proofing or is submersible correct?
